ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- operate yarn machinery primarily rewind (fadis/tube wind)
- cross train on yarn processing equipment (chenille, boucle, twisting, air tex etc)
- load feeder stock (POY) or yarn onto creels as needed, if needed
- complete operational tickets
- cross train as needed
- perform routine housekeeping duties
- perform miscellaneous duties as necessary
- follow safe work practices
- support LEAN, safety, sustainability, and environmental initiatives
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- must have a high school diploma or equivalent
- must have strong attention to detail
- must be able to work independently
- must adhere to all company policies and procedures
- must be able to prioritize duties and maintain schedule requirements
- must be cooperative and willing to learn new responsibilities
- willingness to work overtime as needed
- must be dependable, punctual, and adhere to attendance policy
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- manufacturing experience
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- must be able to work in varying temperatures within manufacturing areas
- must be able to lift and carry bulky and heavy objects up to 50 pounds
- frequent walking, standing, pushing, pulling, bending, twisting, reaching, stooping, and crouching
- must have manual dexterity and visual acuity
- must be able to read, write and have basic math skills
- the ability to wear a filtering face piece (dust mask) as needed
- must pass Ishihara color vision testing (ability to distinguish color)
